Short-Term Rentals


The City Council began discussing short-term rentals within the Town in early 2016.  A Town Hall meeting was held on March 23, 2017 and on April 20, the Council directed staff to draft an ordinance to regulate short term rentals.  A draft ordinance was considered by the Planning Commission on August 3, 2017. The ordinance was recommended for approval to the City Council with minor edits.

The City Council considered the draft ordinance at their September 21, 2017 regular meeting.  The Council discussed significant modifications to the proposed ordinance and directed staff to draft the revisions for re-consideration by the Planning Commission.  Staff anticipates the revised ordinance to be considered at the December 7, 2017 Planning Commission meeting.
