Election Information

The next General Municipal Election of the Town of Los Altos Hills will be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 to elect three City Councilmembers each to a four year seat. A candidate must be a registered voter in the Town of Los Altos Hills and remain an elector. 
 

Nomination Period

The candidate nomination period for the November 8, 2016 General Municipal Election opens at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, July 18, 2016 and closes at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, August 12, 2016, unless extended. Nomination papers will be available at the City Clerk's office during the period listed above. Note that Town Hall is closed daily between noon and 1:00 p.m. Please contact the City Clerk, Deborah Padovan, to schedule an appointment to receive nomination papers. 
 
The candidate nomination period will be extended five (5) days, until August 17, 2016, if any eligible incumbent does not file nomination papers by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, August 12, 2016.

Candidate Information



The 2016 Candidate Information List will be updated as individuals file a Candidate Intention Statement (FPPC Form 501) or Statement of Organization for a Recipient Committee (FPPC Form 410), as nomination papers are filed, and when candidates have been qualified for public financing. The materials submitted by each candidate are available for public review at the City Clerk's Office following the close of nominations in August 2016.
